Default New Guy in the North Hills

    Hey Everyone -

I am a transplant from Illinois -- moved a few months back.

I was born and raised in Illinois. I found it utterly amazing that I was able to exercise my 2nd Amendment rights by walking into the Sheriff's Office and leaving within 15 minutes carrying my LTCF.

I have been lurking on the site quite a bit and thought I would drop a hello.

Enjoy the ease and clarity while you still can, it only gets more complicated from here

    Welcome to PAFOA

EDIT: Quit lurking, start posting. Tons of fun and equally stupid stuff to discover and discuss.
Home brewing; because Jeeps and ammunition aren't cheap. WILL WORK FOR AMMO & FIREARMS!

Welcome to PA and to PAFOA from a fellow North Hills (Ross Township, Allegheny County) resident.

You may be temped to go to the SGL range in Wexford. Do so at your own risk. I used to shoot there because it was close and when I was't working I could go early morning during the work week. But any other time there where to many shooters there with so poor firearm handling skills I did not feel safe. Back to working a 9-5 so I joined PMSC. A bit of a drive but it is arguably the best club in the area.

I'm about to blow your mind here.. ..but you can practice your 2nd Amendment rights without a LTCF too.

You can carry a handgun openly on foot without a license. You only need the LTCF if you are in Philly or during an emergency, or if you conceal the handgun or transport it in a vehicle.

Rights don't require a license or permit.

15 minutes? From Beaver County? Damn, that's fast! Butler County took a few days.
