Just like the title says, what is the greatest auto pistol of all time.

All factors considered (beauty, resale value, initial cost, reliability, accuracy, capacity, finish durability- every feature is in play), any caliber.

I'm making this because for whatever reason the OP of the greatest 9mm thread requested it be closed. I won't be requesting that for this one, i hope it lives on for many years, all opinions welcome.

Let's hear YOUR choice, and why! SPECIFIC MODEL please! (example: If you're going to say HK USP, say "USP full size" or "USP compact", or if you want to say Colt Gold Cup, say Series 70 or 80, etc- and make sure you mention caliber too!)

I'm partial to the 80 series because of the drop safety, but they're both damned nice pistols.

Do Gold Cups come in any other caliber than .45ACP?
