Who here carries a "back up" firearm and where do you conceal?

For daily events and so forth, I carry a Taurus PT Millennium Pro sub-compact 9mm with capacity of 12 + 1 in my OWB Fobus paddle holster. I carry this way in about 8 out of 10 days. However, once in awhile if I feel there's a possibility I may need it, I carry my Ruger LCR .357 2" Snubbie revolver as my "back up" aka BUG- it goes on my ankle or if I have large enough pockets in my coat (especially now that it's this time of year and it's getting colder out).

I don't know why sometimes I feel the need to bring the back up. I love the simplicity of the revolver and in a nightmare scenario if I was in trouble and my 9mm decided to FTF or whatever, I'd be sure glad I had the LCR with me. Although it's only a 5 shot, but I guess that's enough to attempt to remove yourself out of the situation.

So I was just wondering who here carries backups and how you conceal them?

(Side note: I just realized how much more likely it is that people will be CC'ing in the winter because of all the shirts, jackets, and coats. It's almost November, I expect to be double carrying once the REAL winter coats are needed and soon the FULL SIZERS come out

I carry a 1911 SOB and if I carry a backup it's a Bersa Thunder in my back pocket. If I don't carry the Bersa I carry a spare 1911 mag in the pocket.

I Generally do not carry a bug

My EDC is a G26 or G19

i'd like to preface this with ...dont say this to be a jack-ass just my thoughts

As a former Pt111 Mil-pro owner i'd feel more comfortable with the LCR as primary

Spring / Summer EDC is a XD40SC +1 and one spare mag with a LCP as my BUG pocket carry in a nemesis holster

fall / winter EDC Colt 1911 +1 and two mags same BUG

I carry a G31, 32, or 33 as needed.

I carry a s&w ultralight in .38 +p in a Galco ankle glove.

I used to be concerned about not having a bug in the same caliber as my main piece, but realized that a bug is like a temporary spare tire. Light and unobtrusive, unlikely to need it, but it's better than nothing.

I will wear a BUG in an ankle rig. Never as a primary. The pocket works most of the time too.

I carry a full size Springfield Armory GI 45. My boyfriend carries a PT1911, that's my back up.

I don't know how you BUG guys do it. I already carry so much crap, I can't imagine carrying another gun. Do you guys also carry spare mags, a flashlight, keys, cell phone, pocketknife, multi-tool, wallet, etc?

My bug is a S&W .38.
I carry in a Galco Ankle holster, or if occasion calls for it, in the inside breast pocket of my leahter jacket.
