    Default My new stand

Spent all last week hiking 3 miles uphill, 300 vertical feet, with 30# on my back and asking every neighbor for permission to hunt their property, only to find out the deer have been SHITTING on my front lawn all week! My new deer stand is my front porch!

I hear that. I shot a 7 point with flip flops on and no shirt through the door on my screened in porch last year.

There are some things we shouldn't admit.
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

I dunno but sounds like he did it a little more challenging than some of those guys on tv. Have you seen some of those "blinds"?

I may as well had been in my house last year. I took my son out as part of the mentored youth program. He kept getting cold so finally, I took along bottled water, a camping pan and a propane burner. I was using it to keep the blind warm and since I wasn't hunting, I was making myself instant coffee and making my son hot chocolate. I drew the line when he suggested bringing Ramen Noodles the next day. haha

This year, I'm going up into a tree and he is in the blind himself.
