I knew I should of not touched it .. Fired it ..
Last week when I meet fellow forum member RichG to buy the West German Sig P226 .. He came over to my booth and said .. " hey fire this " .. well since I fired it .. it has been on my mind since .. It was a Kimber 1911 .. Dam fine gun .. Shot right on for me .. I was really surprised how nice it shot and how well I hit the target for shooting a 1911 for the first time ..
Got me thinking ........... The miss's will kill me ...

You need to give her another reason to kill you. The Kimber purchase will then become incidental. Go for it!

Re: I knew I should of not touched it .. Fired it ..
I used to have a Sig 220 Elite, a 229 Elite and a 226 Tactical operations. I don't own any of them anymore. Why? Because I bought one single action 1911 style pistol. I soon learned that, for ME, having different triggers and operating and safety systems on pistols just wasn't good for muscle memory. I also learned that no other trigger is as sweet as a trigger with a single action break.
I have spent the last several years fully researching, buying, selling, trading and shooting the Hell out of 1911 pistols. I do NOT want to start a flame session or debate but I would suggest you look at the Dan Wesson 1911 line before leaping for the Kimber. All of the parts are top quality and the frame/slide fit is fantastic. Dead balls accurate and super sweet trigger. You might look and favor the Kimber or the Wesson, but do yourself a favor and compare them before you leap. Another great 1911 in that price range to consider is the Springfield TRP.
Then again, you could stay with the Sig operating system that you are used to and save yourself THOUSANDS of dollars because if you start shooting 1911s you ain't gonna like anything else.
You have been warned!

Is this the Kimber in the recent issue of Handgunner magazine or something? The one that could be customized by the owner and was like $1600+?
