Talking Need help ID'ing antique parlor pistol

    Howdy folks.

This weekend I pick up this little parlor pistol at a yard-sale of all places! (Along with a beautiful Martini-Henry rifle) Only paid $30 for the pistol and $50 for the rifle. Anyway, It looks to be a .22 caliber, but I was told it's some odd primer-only ball cartridge. It would make sense, because the pistol is smooth-bore. Take a look at the pics and see what you guys think. Any help or info is very much appreciated! If anyone knows where to get ammo for this thing, that would be awesome as well! I really would love to try this out!

    Its a gun.
Sorry had to. It is a neat little piece you got there. I don't know much about antique guns but I would love to know what flea market you picked it up at.
    Some people just plain suck.

Think about taking it to a good gun shop, maybe they can help. Looks like there is alot of ID on it - serial number, stamping...good luck, nice find!

    The cartridge would be a .22CB/.22BB. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.22_BB

They were primer driven projectiles for parlor shooting.

The gun appears to be a Flobert type. Not sure of manufacturer. But the eagle stamp tells me it was German made.

Not to unnerve you, but unless the ATF has a special exemption for those type guns, you may be in possession of a AOW because of it being a smoothbore pistol if it was made after 1898(possible before too). If it wasn't registered by the last grandfather/grace period date(back in the late 1960's), you may have some legal issues at hand. But if you can find a date stamp on the gun, that may help you out.
