Looks like something that's available at your local auto parts store, or maybe the Mart-Mart stores?

I'm not familiar with it, but I could be inclined to get familiar with it.
(Just for the record, I don't wash & wax my cars. Never did and probably never will).

Yes, it's a liquid car wax and cleaner. They have a paste, but stay away from that. It's in an orange bottle.....hard to miss. Put a tablespoon of it in your media and stir it in to mix.

I've tried expensive gun care stuff and Nu-Finish seems to do as well or better. Corn cob bedding from Agway in bulk is nice for the price as well. Theonly time I buy expensive media is when i need the finely ground stuff for rifle brass. For really nasty brass, I've used some Brass-o, but only with pistol brass. Ammonia will weaken brass over time.

Just a thought, have been reloading for a lot of years, RCBS, C&H Line Press,
PW-200 Turret, If you would like some goodlooking brass, visit your local
grocery store and purchase a bag of white hard grain rice. Put it your tumbler
    and watch the magic.
NOTE: MAKE SURE YOUR BRASS IS NOT DEPRIMED. A KERNEL OF RICE HAS BEEN
KNOWN TO LODGE IN THE PRIMER POCKET.

Wink Re: BRASS pOLISH FOR TUMBLING

    All Excellent Ideas!

A suggestion, it helps to tell if you are using a vibratory or rotary tumbler. With vibratory it also helps to tell if you have a rubber bowl or a plastic one. Here's why.

I read a suggestion that said that adding Mineral Spirits to your walnut media would produce superior results. It did. The brass is so shiny it looks like it just came off the shelf, brand new. PROBLEM, the rubber vibratory tumber bowl was ruined.

That particular tumbler had a thin rubber gasket around the lip of the bowl. The chemicals in the Mineral Spirits demolished that gasket and the tumbler proceeded to shake itself into oblilvion. That brew works fine on plastic bowls and also in rotary tumblers which have a thick rubber "can" but no wimply rubber gasket. Just a rubber can and a metal door. Mineral spirits can't destroy either one.

Likewise, ceramic media will clean your brass inside and out like new, including the primer pocket. It will also chew up your vibratory tumbler bowl in less than an hour. Should only be used in rotary tumblers. However, you can speed up the process in rotary tumblers by modifying them to run at 1.5 to 2 times their normal rotation speed.

Another tip that has worked wonders for me is to soak the deprimed brass in 50/50 vinegar and water for 24 to 48 hours before tumbling. Removes most of the tarnish and most or all of the powder residue inside the case. I then tumble the cleanest ones and run the rest through again in the next batch. The vinegar/water solution can be re-used until it no longer smells of vinegar or no longer does the job. I add a "refresher" shot of vinegar about every third load. I put the brass cases in an empty 1 gallon milk container that also holds the vinegar/water solution.
