Re: "Florida permit" ??????
Actually, mine has "license" on it.
Get one, you'll like it. Go to the Florida web site and fill out the form. They'll mail you one.

Re: "Florida permit" ??????
The contenders to consider are Florida, Arizona, Virginia, and Utah. At the moment, Arizona looks like the best choice but there are a lot of threads here on the topic. One is at http://forum.pafoa.org/concealed-car...izona-cwp.html. Of our neighboring states, only West Virginia recognizes a PA LTCF. Any of those mentioned here will give you Delaware and Ohio. Unless you're a candidate for the FBI academy, you can forget NY, NJ, and MD.

Their web site can explain it.
Basically, you get the form and fill it out following the directions. Send the money in and wait.
The license covers a multitude of states (see Florida's reciprocity chart) which is constantly changing.
You have a lot of reading to do on Florida's web site. It will answer most if not all of your questions.

Re: "Florida permit" ??????
For Florida you need to submit your notarized application, passport-type photos, fingerprints taken by a law enforcement agency, evidence of training with live fire or equivalent (e.g., DD214), and a money order for $117. I think nonresidents need to go through the fingerprint thing again for renewals, including the $42 charge (residents get a pass). Next time I'll probably go with Virginia, since I have family there and I'm likely to actually spend time there.

Here's a good link to checkout. JMO, Arizona is the best deal.

Click on the state you're interested in and you'll find everything you need to know.
The trip planner is nice if traveling
