GOT A BUCK!!!

I got out a few times this year. I have seen deer every time out, I just haven't got one yet. I passed on quite a few small (but legal) bucks last night. I passed on a small 6 pt because there was a much larger 6 pt out of bow range (more than 40yds). There is also a HUGE 4pt running around my area .... If I get a shot on him I just might have to use my military exception to take him legally.... (military exception = 2 or more pts on one side or antlers 3" in length)

Totally agree.
Also, many deer, regardless of age, will genetically never be large racks.
I would much rather see a 5 year old 8 point shot than a 2 year old 8 point.

Plus, we are in Pennsylvania, not Ohio, Iowa or Wisconsin.
Around these parts, beggers can't be choosers!

Always keep them shaded, not in the sun like that, as sun= warmth= spoiling meat. Also the cape could be affected.
