Re: Philadelphia Gun Show - Appalachian Promotions
I might have to check this out. I've never been to a gun show. It should be fun to walk around drooling over everything I can't afford!

This'll be a good show. I heard Springfield is going to be there and giving HUGE discounts on surplus centennial 1911s.

Re: Philadelphia Gun Show - Appalachian Promotions
Maybe, maybe not. The exibition hall isn't very large and since the target market is Philly it gets pretty crowded. Not that that should stop you, just know going in your going to have to be patient while purusing the tables. I'll be there at some point, there are a few items I like to pick up and the vendor of preference is always there.

Re: Philadelphia Gun Show - Appalachian Promotions
Generally shows do not allow loaded weapons inside the exhibit hall. They will sometimes put a tie-wrap through the port/mag well. Either you leave the weapon in the car, or unload it before entering. I've never seen a sandbucket (never looked for one either) for the purpose of unloading. I think they send you back to the parking lot, but I don't know...I leave mine in the car. But I can say I have never seen a patdown or such either, so entering loaded can be done I suppose. Just know that in doing so you might then be guilty of criminal trespass. I think I'll ask how that works when I go to the show. I never thought about the procedure if your gun is loaded.

Good call, I might call ahead. Either way leaving the primary carry piece in the car wouldnt be the end of the world. I might try to lay my hands on a new glock 19, maybe pick up some ammo and jerky. Either way it should be a good time. Just hope it isnt full of thugs being so close to the city.

You'll see few, if any, true thug types. We scare them. Sure, there will be some that dress differently than we usually see in a shop or range but well, I don't really care how someone dresses...it's none of my business. How I percieve them for their choice is my business.
