Re: Philadelphia State of Emergency & CCW
No one knows what Nutters "State of Crime Emergency" means since he hasn't stated any specifics.

Re: Philadelphia State of Emergency & CCW
The only state of emergency I see is we have a new Mayor and Police Chief that are making mountains out of mole hills. Yes, this city has a high crime rate but come on, take the guns away from the people who are using them to commit crimes, not the ones who purchase them legally for protection from the "people" that aren't.
I've never wanted to move out of the city more than I do now, Bucks county is screaming my name. I was born and raised in this city and never planned on leaving it until now.

Pottstown is quite lovely as well. Always looking for more LTCF holders. Makes the borough safer

Pottstown is too far from work. My office is is Haddon Heights NJ, and my teritory is Camden, Burlington counties in NJ and all of Philadelphia. Lower Bucks is close enough to 95 that I could still keep my job.

Re: Philadelphia State of Emergency & CCW
it better not.
LTCFs and all gun possession, transportation, and carry laws in PA are created on the state level and the state laws override any local laws (or local "states of emergency").
if it does have any effect on your application, the city is acting outside the law. you would likely need a lawyer, but you would end up winning in court.Last edited by LittleRedToyota; January 19th, 2008 at 11:39 AM.

Re: Philadelphia State of Emergency & CCW
From what I understand, an officially invoked "state of emergency" just means people without LTCF aren't allowed to openly carry arms.
Any mission, any conditions, any foe at any range.
Twice the mayhem, triple the force.
Ten times the action, total hardcore.

You can not opencarry in Philly at anytime. It is a city over 1 million. So you need a LTCF anyway.
The truth shall set you free.
They can have my guns when they pry them from my cold dead hands
I can not wait until NJ sinks in the ocean and PA has ocean front property

Re: Philadelphia State of Emergency & CCW
Regardless, it would change nothing as you need a LTCF to carry in philly and no one is crazy enough to OC there anyway.
