Default Montgomery County: how to get my GF a non-resident LTCF

I live in Montgomery County, and my girlfriend is from Michigan. She wants a PA LTCF. I went to the courthouse, and they told me that they don't issue non resident LTCFs (they call them "concealed gun permits" even on the signs and official paperwork) and you need a PA Drivers License. I got Montgomery County applications anyways though to fill out. How can we go about doing this?
    Thanks guys

In PA, I believe you have to have a permit or license to carry in your home state first. I can't get a PA LTCF because I cannot get one in NJ. So I have a FL CCW permit.

Berks county will be more than willing to issue a non resident, provided she has a current MI CWP.

Well some good news, as others have pointed out, she WOULD need a permit/ License from her home state IF THEY ISSUED ONE. At this point, if memory serves correct they're not issuing yet in Mich. Now since your home county is not following state law, it's simple for you, go to one of the surrounding counties, who does follow the law. I had a friend up for the weekend from SC on the way home, he stopped in to Leb County, and handed the paperwork, and money, they mailed it to him.

Michigan has been issuing for at least a few years........

Thus, she could opt to get her Arizona permit or another permit, easier to obtain.
Or she could just become a resident of PA....

    They issue in MI

IL never issues and prohibits carry. I think VT is the opposite, constitutional carry only, no licenses. Apart from them all states have a licensing procedure, though of course they vary hugely in fairness.

You are correct, I was thinking Wis, who recently passed the law, last beside IL to begin issuing. My Apologies for the confusions.

As long as she has her MI permit...have her go back and demand they issue. They don't get to choose who they issue to. She is not prohibited they must issue.

WHile you're at it, refuse the PD check card too....
