Re: moly coated bullets
No difference on shooting others afterwards.
Clean up is necessary though, moly turns corrosive with either oxygen or moisture. ...did some nasty things to one of my barrels.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

Re: moly coated bullets
I've used both as well, and i don't see a difference, either. I use them in 22-250, but I went away from them out of my 300 win mag. i used to buy winchester supreme factory ammo, but i started reloading, so now I just buy the regular nosler accubonds for the 300, but i buy moly-coated hornady's for the 22-250. They do seem to gum up the barrel, though.

Re: moly coated bullets
I guess I don't shoot enough of them to gum up the barrel. I usually shoot some moly then some regular.

Re: moly coated bullets
For tight groups it always took about 10 rounds from switching from moly to regular copper jackets and vise versa before the groups settled back in.
I taught Chuck Norris to bump-fire.

Re: moly coated bullets
Thanks mates. Only reason I was curious is because I'm fond of Hornady V-Max bullets......but the only choice (factory) is Moly-coated for 243....I'm afraid to get back into reloading ( Many years ago I basically took over a sewing/reading room with my benches and eaquipment)...already paid for one divorce, can't afford another.
