PA to OH gun transfer
I won a Smith & Wesson Sigma 9 at a gun bash. I decided to sell it to my friend. She lives in Ohio though. How do I go about transferring it to her? I went to Gander Mountain in PA and he told me I had to take it to a OH gun dealer. Will it be taken off of PA's record that I own it then?

Re: PA to OH gun transfer
You'll need to ship or deliver it to an FFL in her home state, who ill make sure that the firearm is transferred to her in accordance with OH law. You will remain as the last recorded owner of that firearm in PA, which really means nothing, as records of transfer in no way indicate who the current owner of a firearm is, and PA has no "registration".

I would get a copy of the record of sale to cover you in case someone comes asking about it someday.

Re: PA to OH gun transfer
Get a record of sale or draw up a bill of sale between the two of you. IIRC, King 5.45 has a very good bill of sale that he uses (or used in a transaction w/mp517prct). Once you have a bill of sale, then ship or deliver the gun to an FFL in Ohio. If you deliver it, you can take care of the bill of sale there.
