Gunsmith in Somerset, Bedford, Cambria counties?
Ive been calling for 2 days now cant find a gunsmith to thread a barrel for me. I heard cant do it, I dont do that, this number has been changed and every other answer you can imagine. Does anyone know a gunsmith that can do a simple muzzle thread so I can put a muzzle brake onto my gun? Names and numbers would be great. Thanks in advance!

Getting an AK to chuck up in a lathe is almost impossible due to the size of the reciever, hand threading is what a smith will do anyway, this way you have the tools and can either sell them when done, keep them, or find others to help out.
It takes about 5 mins to thread it and as long as your FSB has the hole for the detent, you will be GTG, it will probably take longer to drive out the old sight pin than to actually thread the bbl.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking about doing it myself but there is a protective cover not a muzzle nut but something else on the barrel. I would have to dremel the entire way around perfetly straight making sure that I dont cut into the barrel. Not sure if I am that skilled.

It's been a while since I messed with one of those, but IIRC the sleeve is attached to the FSB and you can drive out the pins and remove the FSB, then cut off the sleeve.
To use a 14mm die, the barrel needs to be between .540 and .560, again IIRC.
