Parkerize my HD shotgun
I have a Mossberg 500 that I have a 18" HD barrel on, and a few other small things for HD. I bought the old gun for $100 buck and added about $50 worth of accessories to it. I thought it would be cool as a first project, and I decided to paint it a color close to Dark Earth. Being rookie (I know) it didn't go over as well as I wanted, it looks good but the paint is coming off.
Anyway...I wanted to know how easy and/or expensive it would be to have the gun parkerized? I think I would like that better. My concern is more the cost, since I didn't spend much money on the gun to begin with, is it even work it.
I'm open to all suggestions and ridicule for getting this fixed.

clean off the paint and dura-kote it. multiple colors and glosses available. easy to do, inexspensive, durable what more can you ask for.

Re: Parkerize my HD shotgun
how inexpensive are you looking for? Texas Armament Company just said they would do one of my pumps for 90 plus the shipping. i have heard they have a good reputation on different gun forums.

Re: Parkerize my HD shotgun
That was going to be my next step, and it would give me a reason to buy a dremel tool to strip the paint.
90 is doable, I was just hoping someone didn't say like $200 or more, that would be more than I was hoping. I will certainly check it out as well.
I will PM him, I appreciate the info
