    Default SIG P226 Price Check

Local gunshop has a new "owned, but never fired" Sig P226 9mm for $730.

    Sound like a good deal?

I've called around and just about every other gunshop has them new for $800+

Get another $30 off and go for it. They go for $850 to $890 in my area. I don't care if ten people owned it, if they didn't mess around with taking it apart for the fun of it and didn't shoot it, then I will take the $150 savings. JMHO

The P226 is a super hand gun, BTW. MO as well.

I bought a P226 in .22 cal for 670 at Kerpers new earlier this year. Cheryl didn't have it in stock but the order only took a few days. Not sure of the cost difference between the 2 calibers but she was the cheapest around Chester County when I was looking.

    Good luck.

I ended up picking it up. Wouldn't go down anymore on the price, but the gun is in excellent condition, was never fired at all, hardly handled at all.

AND. It came with night sights, which I think is pretty cool.

For $730, I think it was a solid deal.

Now, we'll see how she shoots...

I am jealous. I want a P226, but I also want the P220 Elite. I can't have both, so it is going to be the P220. At least a CO friend of mine lets me borrow hers when I want to.

Nice gun. I would have looked around for a W.German 226, you can pick up a nice one for about 500.00.

Anyways congrats on the purchase and enjoy your new gun.
    Today was a good day!
