thank you very much for this post. I wish i could contribute but am a broke mofo ATM. Ron Paul is one of the last true american patriot politicians. he doesnt tell you what you want to hear or what u want to believe is true. RON PAUL 2012.
He has been saying the same things for 20+ years, and neither panders to voters or worries about polls. having been a congressman for 20+ years, he has refused congressional pension as well as medicare and social security (because he doesnt need it.)

I don't want to upset anyone or start a war, but the invite mentions lies and attempts to dismiss Ron Paul.

I do like a lot of Ron Paul's stances but I have been turned off by a lot of his rather rabid supporters that I encounter. It seems that with them it's Ron Paul's way or no way.

What exactly does it mean when you say lies and attempts to dismiss him? I know he did very well in a few straw poles... have other things been buried? I honestly do not take internet poles very seriously as I believe different supporters stuff the box at different times making them null in my opinion.

Again, I am not looking for a flame war. Please enlighten me.

Just off the top of my head, there was a blatant issue where Fox aired the crowd reaction from the previous year's straw poll instead of this years. They later took enough heat to correct it but they brushed it off as an honest mistake.

Debate time is easily shown as being shorter for Dr. Paul despite how well he does in straw polls.

John Stewart even did a clip on how Dr. Paul has been ignored and brushed aside by media outlets. I believe he finished 3rd in one straw poll and a story was written about the folks finishing in first, second and fourth. (actual placement may be off but you get the picture)
