I just bought a winchester 94
I went shopping the other day and seen this winchester 94 ranger 30-30, And had to buy a piece of Amarican history. It's made in the early 1980's and is in great shape, the wood has no marks or dents, and the blueing is great no scratches or corrosion. This is my first lever action. I started hunting with my uncles 30-30 long time ago, but now that Winchester stopped production I had to buy for keeps sake.

Re: I just bought a winchester 94
Congrats!!
I'd keep it is good condition too now that Winny isn't making them.
I was dumb enough to sell a 94 that was given to me from my dad many years ago when times were really tight. ...I regret it to this day.
Last May an uncle gave my a 16" Trapper 45LC model - it however will be kept til I die.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

It took me a while to come around but I love the model 94. It comes to the shoulder very fast with the sights already aligned-evertime. I honestly don't think it could be improved upon.

that rifle seems to be in really good shape.

My uncle has a Winchester 94 30-30 for sale. He says its blueing and furniture are in 96% condition. I'm kind of tempted to buy it, but I don't know.

Re: I just bought a winchester 94
ahhh, my first gun (94ae 30-30)! Mine has had less than 50 shots fired through it since it was given to my by my grandfather 15 years ago (and it was bought used), but it's still something that I will never be able to get rid of.
I remember at 100 yards, and the cheap scope that is on it, I could hit a penny. If for nothing else, as you stated, it's worth having as a piece of American history! The wood on them (yours) is absolutely beautiful.

Was the first gun I ever owned back in the late 70's. Don't know why I sold it but I regret doing so. I have a Marlin 336 now, nice gun but not a 94. Dang

It's a great rifle for what it does. And fun to shoot!
