Default I messed up - Broke a Pin in my Glock

The little plastic bastard in the grip.

I bought a chrome replacement from RockYourGlock. Still, it's frustrating to hear that SNAP as it broke going in.

Anyone else break a pin from not being patient?

Not so far. Did you not have everything lined up right? That's usually the easiest pin to reinsert.

They get bent over time. No biggie! Never broke one though.

I think I should have put something in the pinhole first to line it up. I looked down the gap and it seems like a piece is no longer lined up quite right.

Can I still rely on this as my EDC? Will not having that pin cause a major problem?

Personally I would be reluctant to carry it with a pin missing, though realistically it probably isn't going to disassemble itself. I would think someone in the Philly area would have an OEM pin in stock.

I already have a replacement on order. Thanks for the thought, though.

My chrome slide lock lever looks badass, though.

This why I've been reluctant to do any of my own work on my glock, its my only edc gun. I'm a mechanic for a living, and know that sometimes this shit happens. Try to buy a stock one, they'll be cheap I'm sure.

I actually found something even better than a single pin replacement - I bought (also on ebay) a total pin replacement kit, all three pins.

    They are made of titanium.

This just went from an every day carry piece to an heirloom. The pins will never. break. again.
