What kind of training does everyone have?
I recently completed INPAX Defensive Handgun Module 1. I'm curious what other formal training members here have taken?

Re: What kind of training does everyone have?
Mainly military, but I took a course geared towards both civilians and law enforcement at the Long Rifle Institute in Southern California in 2003. Not even sure if they still exist, but it was run by a former Chief Warrant Officer, lots of good info and training.

Re: What kind of training does everyone have?
I used to run around the house as a kid with my dad's Colt, playing secret agent. Also, sometimes I shoot targets at the range. I'm bad ass.

Re: What kind of training does everyone have?
I did the UT course for my KY CCW permit 12 years ago. Also done some entry-level Pisto/Carbine course work with folks on M4C - including our own Jay Cunningham.
But of course, I'm also "part of an elite, para-military force - Eagle Scout!"

Molly^^^^^I'd better stay away from Salem Mountain
Tons of law enforcement training over the years and it changed as society changed. Active shooter drills became a norm after Columbine for example.Last edited by capitolcop; September 26th, 2011 at 01:51 PM.

Re: What kind of training does everyone have?
I'm not sure if it pays to speak to specifics here. A claim to training could come back to bite you in the butt in a civil proceeding if you have to put a hole in somebody.
