Default Steel or alloy/titanium/scandium for Wheelguns?

Title pretty much explains it all.
Do you prefer to shoot/carry steel frame Wheelguns?
    Or their alloy/titanium/scandium counterparts?
Perhaps you think that a door has been opened up and polymer frames are the future?

I own two revolvers right now. One is a S&W 386 XL that has a scandium frame and barrel shroud with a steel barrel, steel internals and a steel cylinder. The other is a Ruger LCR in which everything but the barrel, cylinder and a few of the trigger components are polymer.

I like both of mine well, but I'm curious as to what the masses think of the recent advancements in revolver development.

I like all steel for heavy caliber revolvers as it cuts unseating problems in half. For low to medium recoil calibers, light is right. SMO
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

For shooting, I prefer steel especially in heavier calibers. Come to think of it I don't even consider weight much of a disadvantage for carrying either.

Shooting and carrying are two different things as I see it. I purely love my scandium and Ti J frame for CCW and self defense, but the guns I play with are all steel frames. An afternoon shooting full patch magnums out of a 386 isn't nearly as fun as a 686, and that gets more and more pronounced as I age...

I shoot a 357 Mag and a 500 Mag. Couldnt think of anything but steel. After owning 3 polymer bottom feeders and about a dozen steel bottom feeders I'm so over plastic and alloys.

think what you want, but it's less than 1% scandium. they need the little blast shield above the cylinder gap, or they will cut themselves in half.

they are just a car. and like the guns, not a very practical one.
