Questions on old modified shotgun.

My grandfather left me his double barrel shotgun when he died in the early 60's. It has damascus barrels and has been shortened several inches. Story goes grandad didn't like the pattern and shortened it several times until he got the pattern he liked. Barrells are still over 24".

It's in Ohio at my dad's house. Can I transport it (modified lgth) back to my place in PA?

It was mentioned by some family members that it is illegal because of the modified length. Is it?

The fact that the legnth has been modified makes no difference so long as the barrels are longer than 18 inches and the shotgun has an overall length of at least (I think) 24 inches.

I had a gun feeling I was off, but my brain kept lying to me. LOL
I knew it was 24 inches for a rifle, and it makes sense that it's 26 inches considering a shotgun is required to have 2 inches more barrel length than a rifle.
