Re: cache of weapons found in falls twp
At that point, it would be, but the police skipped a few steps (IMO). 18 Pa.C.S. §(c)(4) - the section that prohibits possession based on involuntary commitment - has the following caveat:
This paragraph shall not apply to any proceeding under section 302 of the Mental Health Procedures Act unless the examining physician has issued a certification that inpatient care was necessary or that the person was committable.Get your "Guns Save Lives" stickers today! PM for more info.

I couldn't help but laugh at this:
Bartkowski said he watched the whole incident unfold, culminating with the armored police vehicle driving up on the man's lawn.
"It sounded like a car alarm, and then a robotic voice said, 'Dr. Scott, this is the police. We're here to help you. Pick up the phone.'"

Re: cache of weapons found in falls twp
Ward said police initially believed the man had many more weapons than they later found in the house — including several automatic weapons. The man once had a special federal permit to possess the guns, but the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives revoked that permit and confiscated the automatic weapons, police said.
The man, who hasn't been charged with a crime, was taken into custody by 4 a.m. No one was injured and school began on time, officials said.
If the man has a "reason" they can yank the Dealer's license.
Let's hope that he gets his property back, otherwise that's a taking without Due Process.
Now I know in the land of Civil Forfeiture that taking isn't a big deal like it used to be, but that says nothing good about Civil Forfeiture either.

What ever happened to the old guy on 611 in Ottsville with the "cache" a year or two ago?
I never heard any follow up on that one either.
