Stolen Pistol Recovered!!!!
I just found out today that on April 28th 2007 Pittsburgh police arrested 2 people in Market Square and one of them had a pistol that had been stolen from me in a burglary!
I will post more news as I get it!
I'm still looking for the winchester model 70 that was stolen in that burglary. Now that I know who was in possession of one of the stolen weapons hopefully I can recover my beloved M70!
Also... I still have not heard anything about my XD9mm that was stolen from my car in Carnegie...
Anyone with information on either weapon leading to their safe return will be GREATLY REWARDED!
Thank you all!
Glock22XD9 (the name isn't the same when one has been stolen...)I know a lil about a lot, but I don't know a lot about anything!

Re: Stolen Pistol Recovered!!!!
Congrats on them finding the gun. I hope it is in as good as condition as when they stole it (however I don't think it will be).
But I wonder what took them so long to contact you?

Re: Stolen Pistol Recovered!!!!
That's great news. I am surprised they still have it since it was 8 months ago.
Why did it take so long to track it down? Did you just report it or were they just slacking on following up?

Congratulations! Have they told you what the disposition will be yet? Any idea when you will actually get it back?

Re: Stolen Pistol Recovered!!!!
Yeah, I have to wait until the trial is over and they're not really being very forthcoming with information, but I'm going to sell the weapon as soon as I get it back... IF I get it back. The Detective I spoke to says that the ballistics lab hasn't even examined it yet, and they need to make sure there are no other cases attached to it.
I just got the letter in the mail today about all of this. It was post marked January 2008... I was SHOCKED when I opened it! They got it in APRIL and this is the FIRST I'm hearing of it???? Bizarre......
anyway, it's kinda funny cause I go to school on Grant St. downtown and the arrests were made in market square, but the burglary happened in Sewickley... Of all places these idiots were just a few blocks away selling drugs with MY pistol... It's creepy!
I'm just hoping that they get the bastards that invaded my home, and stole my weapons and HOPEFULLY... get my model 70 back... My Great Uncle handed that weapon down to my Uncle so the sentimental value is worth more than anything.
I just Hope to God that no one is hurt with any of these weapons...
This was a valuable lesson in safety and security for me... I always thought that no one would be stupid enough or crazy enough to break into MY house and ESPECIALLY not in SEWICKLEY!!! Boy was I wrong. For all of you out there with your weapons scattered around your house that think that your family and your weapons are safe, I strongly urge you to take a lesson from my mistake and get yourself a nice safe and make sure no one can get to your weapons except YOU!
I sincerely thank you all for all of your concern,
