    Default Mossberg Maverick Hunter O/U

    Anyone have one? I am looking for some reviews / feedback.

    I am looking for an entry level O/U and at $362 @ Bud's it's priced right.

    My recommendation would be to save up some more money and get something more proven. The Mossberg Silver Reserve (Mossberg's more expensive O/U) has a less than great reputation. Of the two I know of, only one worked out of the box, but both needed sent back for repairs.

    I have heard some very good things about the Lanber O/U's at CDNN (~$550) and the new CZ O/U's. Either would likely serve you better, and have wood instead of synthetic.

    Buy a good used gun. Mossberg O/U's are complete junk. Open and close the action and you will see...
