October 15th.

Barring medical emergency, incarceration or intervention by mother nature, I'll be there.

Find the spot on the map where the penny pack trail intersects Verree road:

It's not quite a kilometer SW of the intersection of Bloomfield and Verree roads. If you zoom onto the map and look at google earth view, you can see a parking lot on the North Side of Verree. That's where i'll be.

Look for my little 2003 silver 4 door saturn. Once you get there, call me at 215-883-9800 if you cannot find me. (In fact, call me if you plan on going at all, and let me know what time!)

I hope i'm not the only one that shows up! I'll get there about 1pm.

ANYONE ATTENDING: PLEASE BRING SOME CHIPS, OR SODA, OR LUNCH MEAT/ROLLS SO WE HAVE SOMETHING TO EAT!

Pennypack Park near Verree Road? Heck, I could walk there! That's only a few blocks from me! Let me know when and where this event takes place if it does.

I plan on being there. Here's a thought. Could Phila market this kind of armed Leaf Peeping as a tourism event? "Exercise your Open Carry Second Amendment rights in a hostile police environment! Normally, you would run the risk of chewing some concrete while the PPD slowly and carefully checked you out. But, as a member of an armed tourism group this is very unlikely." Adds a little excitement to the outing. Think of the possibilities. Armed walking tours of colonial Phila. where revolutionaries used to roam. Special tables at restaurants with a little more room between the seats. (Dontcha just hate it when holsters are nudging other people?) Armed softball and basketball tournaments (retention holsters mandatory). Wild West themed outdoor Halloween parties. Other ideas?

So far, the only suggestion is Pennypack by Verree or Pine road, in the Northeast.
