    Default WALTHER P22

Hi, Mike from Southmoreland...does anyone own or has anyone shot the Walther P22? I'm thinking of buying one but I'd like to hear if there is any problems with it. I've read of probs. with first the ones but how about the newer ones,,,thanks, Mike

Hey Mike - welcome to the forum. I bought one from another well regarded forum member here about a year ago as its small and very easy for my 10 year old to handle. He has been to the range with it several times and ripped through literally thousands of rounds with no issue.

The Walther that I got has the threaded barrel option (something that you might want to seriously look at if you have even a remote interest in owning a suppressor someday). Its pretty easy to strip and clean, and I think overall its a pretty nice little pistol.

See if you can either hook up with someone that will let you try theirs, or rent one. Even if you do buy one I dont think you'll be disappointed.

I have one. Love it. I just shot a couple hundred rounds through it last night.

Yes, they can have some quirks to them. Go here and read about it. See the Walther forum, and definitely look at the P22 bible.

The Walther P22 is a wonderful pistol. Very delightful, and awfully very economical to shoot at the range.
