Default STI 5in Eagle in .40

Here's my new STI 5in Eagle in .40! Picked her up tonight from my FFL. these photos were taken right after I removed the gun from the plastic that was filled with packing grease so don't mind it being "dirty"...and yeah, I need to figure out this flash stuff on the camera, lol.

Very nice, I was saving up for a 5in STI but ended up getting a 6in Fusion. Just wait till you shoot it. I can't beleive the higher level of accuracy. Only down side I have found so far is the cost of magazines. Happy shooting...

How does the grip feel compared to a traditional single-stack 1911? I am looking at and STI or Fusion hi-cap in commander size and wondering if the width is hat much different.

I love the gun. Only was able to run 50 rounds through it today but it's spot on!

I do agree that their magazines are expensive and their instruction manual is awful. shit, I was hoping for at least two mags for a gun that's as expensive as it was.

to be honest, I only ever shot 1 1911 and it was so long ago that I forget what it felt like. I do remember the gun being sweet but not to the point of being able to compare it.

I brought the STI and my CZ-85B to the range and the STI has a wider grip than my CZ, but not as wide as say a Glock (at least IMHO).

STI makes a great 1911, they're on my "to-get" list. In .45, though - I have no other pistol calibers anymore.
