I too am curious what the back story of this deal contained. Seller wasn't exactly clear why he sold item to another buyer. Like I said, I don't know the details what happened, but from the buyer's comments and the seller's comments, I'd say seller is in the wrong.

To me, the seller got a better offered and screwed the original buyer. I suppose some people's word does not mean anything these days.

Believe me, I've had many offers on my FS items over the years, but I can honestly say I never screwed anyone.

Not much of a back story really.

I originally messaged him 2 weeks ago, asking him if he'd hold it for me for 09 May 2016, since I'd be out of town until now. I guess he technically wasn't gonna hold it for me, as he never marked it SPF (or something along those lines).

Then, I texted him last Thursday (05 May 2016) to confirm our meet date. He asked if I was "100% buying this on Monday (today)." I told him yes, then we set up a time and place to meet. Then I got a text on Saturday saying he already sold it. He goes off attempting to make up for it, by offering up some other rifles he is about to sell ...

I suppose he got a better offer, since a few days after the original posting, he changed the price from $260 to $300. Though, in fairness, he did still honor his original price to me.

But still. Yes I guess some people's word don't mean anything these days; neither does integrity I suppose.

You know what they say about first impressions.

I'm glad there are still some honorable people out there like yourself aubie. We're becoming a dying breed.
