RIA 1911 Tactical / 2011 Rail Gun
Just was at my local fun shop and saw a new RIA 1911. I owned the original RIA Tactical (without rail) in the past and liked it. I know the looks of this gun are not for everyone but I for one love the rail.
As far as I can tell this model has a nicer finish then the park on the original tactical model. It of course has the full rail, as well as nicer grips.
Can't wait to get it to the range, would also like to switch out the front sight.
Specifications & Features:
Caliber: .45 ACP
Barrel Length: 5"
Finish: Diamond Checkered Wood
Grips/Stock: Synthetic
Capacity: 8 Round
Sights: Fixed Sights
Full Length Picatinny Rail
Extended Beaver Tail
Ambidextrous Safety
Full Length Guide Rod
Series 70 Type Firing System
Combat Hammer
Skeletonzied Trigger
Parkerized Steel Frame
* sorry about the crude pics, took them in my truck on my way back to work.

Re: RIA 1911 Tactical / 2011 Rail Gun
Great score!
I was checking that out last week.I am not a 1911 guy but I really like the look of it with the rail.I have heard many good things about the RIA 1911's and for the price it seemed like a great deal for a railed 1911.
Let us know how it shoots.

wow... that is a sharp looking 1911.
please post a range report ASAP.The Beauty of the 2nd Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.

nice p/u, i,m sure you,ll like it my ria shoots awesome. it is nice to see the sweet grips on it. most ria come with crappy looking wood. that was the first thing i changed on mine. you gotta have nice wood on a 1911 style pistol, it really sets them off.

Ok, now the hard part, finding a holster for the gun. It has a full dust cover and full rail like the old model TRP. Obviously no one makes a holster for this gun, any ideas where I can turn?

I did see that, and emailed their customer service. They were unable to give me a definitive answer. They did say they record how many times a gun is inquired about and it's added to a list, when it gets enough interest they buy the gun/blue gun and make a mold.
They told me I could check with Blade Tech.
I may have to find someone local, and drop my gun off.
