    Default s&w 1911pd

Trying to make it quick, hate posting on my phone. Got a chance at a sw 1911 pd three act mags one chip m, vz grips, milt sparks and raven holstets for 825. Anyone have one of these guns. Worth it?

I own one of those and use it for my EDC in cooler months. Mine has the VZ grips as well, and I carry it in a Milt Sparks Summer Special. The accuracy is outstanding, and I have never had a FTF with good magazines (the ACT mags are very good).

I would say that's a pretty good deal.

Thanks. Anyone else? Any concern with the external extractor? Not a 1911 guy, so I'm flying blind.

The grips and two top of the line custom holsters certainly sweeten the deal. I'd be in if I were you.

Very happy with mine. Since the photo below I've put Pachmayr grips on it which has made it my favorite gun by far.

BTW: Great price... I'd go for it.

If the mags work well, then it is a good price if it hasn't been shot much. The extractor is not a big issue as it can be tuned, easily, if it even needs to be done. I believe S&W did a great job with this 1911, IMO.

BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Went to my local fun shop to get a copy of the FFL and kill time on lunch, ended up with this while I was there ... looks like the S&W is out.

All the custom work on the S&W had me worried.
