Default York FFL to receive handgun from another ffl?

I'm buying a handgun online, need a reliable FFL to take delivery and do the transfer.

New to York area, and don't feel like driving back where I used to live to deal with the old FFL. Who have you guys used and who's reliable?

Will be the first of a few purchases, need someone who's trustworthy and going to be around to do the transfer. I'm not one to wait a week while the guy holding my pistol "finds time" to do the transfer.

one option is to go to http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/index.php and look under the "Locate FFL" heading and it'll give you a list of the locals and their typical costs for an FLL transfer.

Brogue Sporting Goods appears to do it for $10. A few other are $20-$30.

There's a gun shop in Shiloh/Dover that will do transfers for $30 or so, IIRC. I've never used them, because we have a great relationship with Richard at Mechanicsburg Ordnance, but when I did look into it, I think it was about $30.

Artistic Edges on Leader Heights near Queen St. in York Township/Spry does transfers, and I believe will take incoming shipments. I'm not sure what his rates are. I imagine Freedom Armory in Glen Rock does, and also the Gun Bunker in Shrewsbury. Then there's Stonybrook over on East Market St. Classic Arms up in Dover.

    Gun Bunker absolutely will.

In my experience Freedom Armory will only receive if it's not something they could sell or order for you. (ie: used gun)

Artistic Edges will do the transfer, however, it's $50.
