Re: Please assist with comparing these ....
I'll try to break it down for you:
9mm has less recoil, is less expensive, and you usually get higher capacity, but it will make a smaller hole in the bad guy.
.40 has more recoil, is more expensive, and you will usually get less capacity, but it will make a larger hole in the bad guy.
Once you decide which caliber you want, buy whichever gun feels most comfortable for you. Go to a gun store and hold each one.

In my opinion, the G23 is the best of what you have listed. I am not particular to Glock, but the G23 is hard to beat as an all around pistol.

BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Re: Please assist with comparing these ....
I can only speak for the Sigma. I have an older V model in .40 S&W and I really like it.
It goes BANG every time I pull the trigger, is moderately lightweight, eats anything, and has a 14 round capacity.
It is very similar to the Glocks in that there are no manual safety - something that it took me a very long time to get used to. (I usually carry a 1911 cocked and locked)
I lightened the trigger pull by removing one of the springs that was rumored to have been installed at the insistence of PDs - assuming a harder pull would make for a safer gun.
I think it is also the least expensive of the ones you have listed.
Highly recommended.

I am familiar with the differences in the calibers and their effect on the BG's.....
I am unfamiliar with the "safe action style" firearm that is the rage nowdays
I currently CC a .44 Tracker and a S&W 411.
While I appreciate your abbreviated and albiet brief breakdown I was hoping for something a bit more detail oriented.
My visit tothe gunstore and the "feel" of the firearm will not tell me any underlining flaws or red flags that may exist with each. A Lorcin .25 may "feel" right but we know what a quality piece they are...Last edited by Zeke2A; September 2nd, 2011 at 04:23 PM.

Well, one would really need to know what all you want to do with the gun to give a more informative answer. Depending on what you want it for, there may be better choices that you do not have listed.

My opinion would stay the same, the G23. There are a couple of HK compacts that are not as thin as the Glock, but would be my personal carry choice because of the better accuracy and I like the more vertical angle of the HK grip. The G23 may be just a tick easier to conceal, but does not have the features of the HK's. Both are lightweight and reliable, and very rustproof.
