So this happened a long while ago just never got around to posting it since school and all. I saved this little fella from heading down to the police station to be surrendered.
Came with original sale paperwork of 09/05/80, and transfer paperwork to the owner who had it after that. The original buyers name was "Chick".
Its owner had passed and the family didn't want it in the house, so I offered to buy it instead (A few bucks plus paying transfer). It was going to head to the local PD and I figured I would take better care of it and I have an addiction to mouse guns.

I made the mistake of stopping in a shop on my way home yesterday. I'm a sucker for wheel guns with good case hardening, especially at consignment prices with no wear & tear!

This is it - last purchases until next year. Why does my shop get so many things I like and why don't I block him from texting me - lol. Never! A nice Romanian PSL 7.62x54r with scope And then a nice Remington 11r riot gun - have always liked these and the price on both were too good to pass. Now to pick them up tomorrow while the wife is at work - shhhhhhhhh. Merry Christmas to me !

Is that PSL old surplus or one of the new commercial $2000.00 imports that just started coming in?

Century is an importer they imported the old surplus ones as well as the new Commercial made ones that they are selling $2k retail price through Classic arms and a few other vendors. The older surplus ones were selling for far less then that for the last two years on the auction sites.

If you paid $2K and the internals are brand spanken new then it's likely a new commercial import.

Any way to determine which it is ? I paid quite a bit less than $2,000 but not sure how to tell the difference.

No I haven’t seen a new one yet so I was wondering if there were any differences. I know the retail on the new is that high everywhere so I’m sure yours is a older import if it was quite a bit less. They are good rifles and that’s a really clean example with excellent furniture. I sold one back in early 2013 for $1600.00 and miss it.

Thanks, yeah, I'm guessing surplus. I'm told that it's mint and very few rounds through it. Still much less than $1,600 so i'm good - another "neat factor" purchase. Thanks!
