Or they are turned into parts kits when they can not sell as a whole weapon. Which is what these two are. Parts kits are scrap metal and legal to buy of course. Anyone can rebuild these into semi auto weapons.

I will buy new receiver flats, bend them, weld them, paint them, and register them as an SBR with the proper 922R parts

...or just make them post sample machine guns.
More than likely SBRs, that way i can sell them if i choose instead of cutting them up again later in life when i decide to let my license expire.

"Nate i want to buy that MP5"
"Sure thing Bern. Owe me $XXXX and here is your Form4 to mail"

Hate to do all the work and torch cut them into pieces again. But sometimes the market is higher (deff larger) for a parts kit than a whole weapon, esp a post sample/dealer only item.

The first 2 i did, standard MP5 and an SD, i made them into SBRs and registered the trigger packs as post sample machine guns.
These will probably be the same. Planned on selling the burst lower but some people go nuts over the burst lowers...which can be done with finger control, but who am i to turn away a paying customer that wants to shoot it LOL
What kind of profit margin is there in flipping them as guns or parts?

Not much. Parts kits are $1200-1800 for standard MP5s. SDs get around $2300-2500ish
93/53/33s get about the same or more, when you can find them.
You could probably piece mill out the kits and make a few bucks here and there than what you have into it. Might take a couple years.
Someone is always looking for German parts (bolt/carrier/barrels)

Im a nobody in the HK world. Hell i've only made 2 lol
There are smiths that charge $4-8K for a complete HK roller-lock weapon.
But a lot of those guys are selling to HK fan-boys that criticize the weld appearance "that's not German"
Which is perfectly fine! It's their money. So it has to be perfect.

Mine look "right" with zero short cuts and function. That works for me for what my needs have been so far.

For a rough idea, I would charge close to $3000 if im supplying the kit that needs de-milled and all the parts for doing a ground up build.
Ive never contemplated it with Zenith/mke, Omega, TMP Outfitters, new HK stuff out there to sell one.
Palmetto was dipping their toes into the pool as well. Lots of roller-lock production guns out there. Which is pretty cool. But i like to make stuff...and spend a lot of money every year for that paperwork to do that lol

    Very interesting.
I always wanted to get into building guns but never had the time.
Would be great to see your finished products if you are able to post them.

Wanted to start a "What did you build today" thread, but never got around to it

Couldn't resist from my shop. Astra Constable - have always wanted to grab one - and this one in 7.65. Great shape from an Estate. No worries to previous owner that's moved on, I will take good care of her

Nice catch. Did not know they came in 7.65. I had a .380 decades ago. Well made little pistols. I was going to stop in after lunch yesterday but went back across the river instead. I might have beat you to it!

Don't know why I posted a picture. We all know what they look like.

Since picking it up, my neck beard has grown 2" and I suddenly feel the need to buy a plate carrier. Is that normal???

Usual acroutrimon: mags, back straps, loader, etc.

This one has the speed sights pre installed, so the original Glock ones are in there too.
