Picked up a S&W 380 EZ Shield yesterday from another member so that I can start my daughter off on center-fire pistols. The name and all the reviews are defiantly correct, this pistol is 100% EZ to use in just about every way. I just ran 5 mags though it just to feed my curiosity, and it's fun fast and fun to shoot. Unlike most .380 pistols it had no issues at all with cheap Silver Bear ammunition which is a great thing.

I am thinking about starting a blog type thread on this entire process from the firearm to training a youth on using a handgun.



If anyone is curious about the pistol here's a good no nonsense review.

Just so you know, it's a real job on your thumb to get the last round in the magazine. But don't worry - you're probably not gonna need the last round, because at the 7 yds and under, these Sig 938's can shoot a dime-sized group (as long as you do your part)...

Received two of my purchases from Spain Love the alloy framed pistols that turn color - this one a nice even bronze. It's a Star BKM. The boxed pistol is a Star 28pk that is Spanish police marked - I enjoy my pd marked guns foreign or US...………………

Picked this bad boy up at Oaks. 1940 mfg. Winchester 1897 Riot Gun takedown model. I'm certain it's a legit riot gun, but because it's not in the S/N range for a Cody Museum factory letter, I'll never know who decided to buy a Winchester 1897 riot gun brand new in 1940. Joked to my buddies that I'll say it was bought by either the Reading Railroad, Lehigh Valley Railroad, or the Holmesburg Prison.

No US markings, but I'm fine with that and since it didn't have it I wasn't paying four figures for it.
