Found a nice SIG German P226, date code KD (1993). It's had the hammer strut-ectomy and the new style grips, but came with the original grips as well. Included were two 'zipper back' magazines.

Later SIGs were built with shorter hammer struts that allowed for redesigned grips to make the grip size smaller and easier to grasp. This was backwards compatible with older models. Because the P226 has a double stack magazine the grips are a little thick for some shooters. I performed this modification on my 2003 P220 single stack .45 and found it easier to grasp and control afterward. Since I have the original grips, I'm going to keep my eye out for the older long strut so that It could be returned to original configuration if some future owner would want to do so.
