related to the CS items above...

I try to do right when ever possible; I get it, shit happens sometimes. PSA's thing most likely was actual inventory vs. site inventory wasn't aligned; however them shipping it sans BCG without contacting you first was most likely the packers saying "fuck it... we're too busy right now to deal with this" and sent the package on. That's probably why CS is sending you the other BCG without the extra markup.

My experiences with Sportsman's Guide were meh at best, so I can understand the frustration with their customer service staff; they make PSA look good sometimes.

It reminds me of a debacle with this TV sitting in front of me in my family room. Screen I had for a client went bad under warranty, sent it in, it gets "fixed" and sent back. Along the way it gets "lost"... tracking shows it delivered to some address in Texas. The guy I dealt with for that was intelligent enough to at least decide that wasn't normal and sent a replacement out to me. I get the replacement's replacement a couple days later and move on. A week later another TV shows up. It's the one from Texas. So I call CS up and tell them I got the first one, and would they like it back. The lady REFUSED to believe I had an extra TV, as her system only showed one being sent... the second one. I really tried for 10 minutes to get her to send a call tag for it, but at the end of the day I got a free TV. To be fair I left it sitting in its box for almost 2 months, figuring SOMEONE would figure it out and want it back. Nope.

Horse, there's the water. Do or do not with the task of drinking, i've done my part.

Sportsmansguide CS still cant' get it figured out. The ammo was priced good. And they did a nice thing by sending out a replacement. But, some of these people I've dealt with are not very bright. I'm just going to send the extra ammo back. I have other things I want to buy, and I don't want to go into debt buying the things I want. I still haven't gotten a receipt from them so I can mail in my rebate for the XM855 ammo.

    Savage 99 .300 rifle.jpg

Just bought this from a friend. It was a part of his father-in-law's estate and he didn't want it. It's a Savage 99 in .300 Savage. I'm not sure which model it is, only sure it's not a 99-E as it has a checkered stock. Serial # is 617XXX. Can anybody give me an idea of what model of the 99 it is and an approximate date of manufacture?

Picked up my Bodyguard from Cabelas, a brick of Mexican 22's, box of 380 defense bullets, some of the budget 9mm holllowpoints on sale right now. Also had the ammo cans, 380 ammo, blazer brass 9mm, ammo cans and buckshot waiting at home for me.

Took a few years off to pursue education. I was pleasantly surprised with all the decisions regarding AR pistols (from 2013-2016). I decided to give putting one together a go. This was all purchased during pre-black friday deals. Keep in mind I am a lefty, hence some add ons:

PSA 10.5" upper w/ their proprietary flash can
BCM ambi charging handle mod 04
    Aero blem lower
    PSA LPK
    PSA EPT Trigger
    KAK buffer + Shockwave blade
    NOVESKE ambi safety
    MAG BAD lever
    Troy Ambi Mag release
    Mag AFG
    m-lock covers
    hex mags
    MAGpuls
    MBUS
Single point sling with MAG QD plate
    Electrical tape over the SN
Coasters from the Punk Rock Flea Market
