What did you buy yourself today - PART 1

This isn't new - I've had it for over a year now - but just realized I never posted it here. Maybe someone here can shed some light on it. It's about 12" tall, cast iron, and post-1950 (that's when it was changed to "Ordnance Corps USA"). It was suggested on another forum that they might have hung on armory gates/walls but maybe someone knows more? I just like it since it's basically the same ordnance stamp as on 1911A1s so now it hangs in my office.

Tanner's had a wz. 29 scrubbed for the Spanish Civil War. I suspected it was a wz. 29 but had to do more research. Picked it up this morning for $275 when I knew what it was and after I had listened to a little too much Sabaton. Needs a new cleaning rod and capture screws. Got the screws on order, looking up the correct length for the cleaning rod.

I can't buy a SBR or SBS on a Form 4...I'm not a patient man. I only do suppressors on Form 4s because A) I lack the equipment to make my own and B) the ATF has pretty much closed up every "solvent trap" dealer I could use to make a Form 1 suppressor. All my SBRs and my SBS are all on Form 1s, since that way I could use them as full size versions while waiting on the paperwork - except for my PSA PA-9 10.5" SBR. Never bothered buying a 16" upper for it during the ~9 months it took the ATF to approve the Form 1.

Yeah I was considering form 1ing a pistol like I did with my scorpion, but didn't want to engrave.
