Polish AK 74 variant known as the Wz.88 Tantal. Interarms-built, all matching Polish parts, NDS receiver. Bubba felt the need to paint the furniture to match the grip he had put on. And he didn't clean the gun as well as he should have, there is a little corrosive primer rust where one would expect it to be. But it's not intended to be a collectors piece, it's a Dark Side bang stick, and it does that quite well.

Finished another SKS conversion from a military style rifle to a more sporting style rifle - all the original military features are long gone.

Tanner's managed to squeeze more money out of me.

This ammo was selling for $35+ a box a few months ago, and even closer to the $50 range during the great panic. My 35 rem ammo stock pile is probably higher than some of my pistol ammo stash.

I read it's almost 2" shorter than the East German version; not sure how it compares to equivalent Bulgy, which would be easier to source. Stock is okay if you crowd up on the gun and use the dust cover for your cheek weld. But not too close for me because I'm left handed!

Good news is the mount point is standard AK so any butt stock will work.

And this one's empty. Any ideas for repurposing? Anyone putting together a Combloc diorama and need a prop?

Very nice - well done ! SKS purists are dying all over the forum, but I think it's unique
