Well, not today, but a couple weeks ago at the York gun show. I ran across one of my long time wants, a Ruger Blackhawk, stainless, 7 1/2" barrel, in 45 Colt. Here's the first 24 rounds down the pipe offhand. I think it's a keeper!

I know by this time there's nothing noteworthy about a pic of a new Shield, but I think the price makes it special. 326 bucks from Tanner's after the rebate including the extra mags, tax and fees. I swore I wasn't buying anything new this year unless a really good deal came along. I think this qualifies.

You must post up a review of how that sight works in the real world. I've seen mention of them a couple of times now, but I'm curious how well it works.

With my aging eyes, that's about the only iron sights I can see to use without the correction from my shooting glasses. I love them.
