Got the Brownells XM16E1 clone at Oaks. Nicely done rifle. Have had an itch for one for a while now.

Glad you picked out a good one. The one I purchased from them was cosmetically and functionally a royal piece of shit and I sent it back. I still want one but don’t want to deal with Brownells again.

Been watching these for a while but on sale for only $12.95 and only $5.95 shipping for two Wife is going to give me some grief and I can hear the "you better not wear that in public" speech coming already - lol.

Just purchased from a pafoa member:

1940 Code 42 Mauser Luger rig. It’s out of a WWII veteran’s estate, a likely war trophy but no capture document. The black grips are a possible question mark, but Jan Still believes some 1940 Mausers were issued with black grips, although that it’s not apparently a unanimous opinion. It has the ‘type 1’ Bakelite grips so they are early, and are documented on other 1940 guns. It’s got a non-matching sideplate with wear comparable to the rest of the gun, but the rest is matching. The magazines are period correct but non-matching. The holster is stamped 1941, stitching is tight, excellent shape.

A solid addition to the collection.

Email or call Simpson’s LTD about it. They are the leading authority on all things Luger.

Nice catch. 380s are a bit of a handful in a PPK, but ya can’t fault the looks. Did it include the test target?
