I think we can all agree acquiring an older "classic historical" piece isn't really "buying" another gun. My story and I'm sticking to it ! My other Ballester has Policia Federal and a seal - this one is a HAFDASA marked with odd markings on right side. Original owner bought it decades ago surplus and didn't refinish it so I'm guessing Arsenal Refinish at some point ? Or maybe that is original finish for this gun? - insides super clean so wasn't fired much which I thought was odd. If anyone has any info. I'd love to hear it. Price too good to pass for sure.

HAFDASA stands for "Hispano Argentina Fábrica de Automóviles SA". The Argentine branch of the Hispano-Suiza company and the manufacturer of the Ballester-Molina.

Thanks, I've heard of/about HAFDASA but still trying to figure out M.O.P. D.G.S. O.C. 29882 M. ??? Most Ballester's I've seen, and my other one have a clear military or pd marking and some kind of engraved shield - I haven't seen one with these markings. Googling closest I find for M.O.P. is Ministerio de obras publicas ( ministry of public works ) not sure if they would even have guns though - lol. Thanks!

Nice - looks like an H&R pistol with Iver Johnson grips

It's marked IJL&C WKS on the frame. It's old but locks up nice and shoots great.

You are going to love that Stribog, they are just great accurate shooters, got mine last summer. it's on display at the shop every day and my range bag for it is always stocked with loaded mags,it has become my preferred 9 mm pistol caliber carbine .
