Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
I wanted to improve my grip on my P-32 while minimizing the effect on concealability. Kel-Tec’s magazine extensions didn’t appeal to me, so I went looking for finger rest style base plates for the magazine. There are many options out there, but all seemed to be just a little too big, too long, too pronounced. Before my P-32 I carried a NAA Guardian, which had an available finger rest base plate that I always liked. So I ordered two base plates from NAA. The magazine shape between the two guns is slightly different, the NAA is shallower and the front profile slightly rounder, so I had to do a little modification to get them to fit correctly on the P-32 magazines. But I succeeded and I am very happy with the results. It provides good purchase for the ring finger on the grip but isn’t too long and the horn doesn’t stick out as far as others I’ve seen. Fifteen bucks shipped and an hour or so of fiddling with a narrow wood chisel and a rat tail file and they fit and work.

Picked up this little derringer pistol chambered in 22LR on top and 45LC/410 on bottom. Interesting design on how you select which barrel fires, you simply rotating down the firing pin wheel to choose between top or bottom barrel. Manufacturered by FMJ in Ducktown, TN with original Cobray labeled grips. No clue on when it was manufacturered, but really like this little gem in my private collection.

That is cool. Just had to look up what history I could. Does not appear super old from this...

I'm jealous, I've wanted one of those turds for years but never came across one at a decent price. Not old at all, they were being made in the 2000's and I'm not sure when production stopped.
They actually made quite a few variations of it, single shots, side by sides (both barrels .45lc/.410) a "revolver" (it had a multi chambered .22 barrel insert that you had to rotate by hand), all in both short and 11" barrels, 12 gauge flare pistols, Even a couple of folding stocked long gun versions, one a double barreled .410 and the other a double barreled .43 caliber muzzle loader.
They aren't particularly good guns, but they are very interesting guns. I would love to find one of the muzzle loaders some day.
