Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
Nice pick up.
I'd be interested to hear what you think of the Keltec after you've shot it a few times. I've been tempted lately by the pmr30 but not quite enough to take the plunge. I've always avoided anything Keltec but I used to be the same with Taurus until I bumped into a 617...

I got 4 Jerry cans with 5 spouts for $25.
No dents, no dings, no leaks and not much rust. All from the same lot 5-20-81 with USMC stamped on the bottom.Last edited by streaker69; May 23rd, 2017 at 08:41 AM.

Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
Picked up a nice WWII 3" Navy Wooden Training Round (described by auctioneers as "105mm howitzer wooden practice shell" and adroitly corrected by "thebearpack" in his following post ) - 35" tall and weighs 25.5 lbs.
Guess I needed one...

That's actually a 3" naval training shell. I have one too, including the steel transport case. They're impressive on display. Very cool.

Hey, many thanks for correcting me - I guess the auctioneers at Pook & Pook got the description wrong. They probably got the description from the deceased seller's list, but it was still wrong...
No surprise there.
Swear to God I learn something new here every day because of PAFOA members like you!
Since it's NAVY, shouldn't it float?- bamboomaster
