Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
It was a general warning about washing your hands after shooting. The instructions were pretty poor. Though the fit was spot on, and the mag seems to fit rather well. I went with a standard 10 round since my range limits use to 5 rounds at a time. I may at some point keep an eye out for a dedicated lower if the block doesn't work out well, and use this one for another planned build. I'm actually liking the stock that came with my buffer tube, it's a bit different, feels comfortable and fits tight. Not bad for $30 including the buffer, spring and tube.

I had Brad at Bear River Holsters make me a custom leather pancake for my Sig P320, along with a matching mag carrier. My choice of colors, custom dot snap carrier, and a perfect fit. He was quick, detailed, courteous, and communicated well, all for about a Franklin! I would highly recommend: http://www.bearriverholsters.com

10 year old Springfield Armory Mil-Spec with 11 premium mags...it's been a long time since I had a M1911A1.

Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
Decided to buy an ultra cheap red dot in the meantime while I save some money for a proper one. Got it for $15 from Amazon, arrived today. Looks decent and feels solid, dot is a tiny bit fuzzy but not too serious, switchable between red and green reticle with each having 5 brightness levels, and has 4 different reticle shapes. I read lots of reviews about it (turns out tons of people like ultra cheap stuff, go figure) and seems like most people say it will hold zero fine, some say itll drift, well see. For $15 Im not too worried. Its not something youd want to carry into battle, as apparently the glass will break from a mild drop, but Im not going into battle lol. Also picked up a cheap bipod while I was at it, seems sturdy enough to keep steady while sighting in. All told, $40 for both with 2 day shipping included into that. (no prime)

I have that same sight on my SW Victory. Has worked well so far but is a bit large for on my pistol. Looks fine on the AR though.

Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
Any problems with holding zero? That was my biggest concern getting it, but the more I read reviews the more I started to think the ones complaining about it drifting off werent using the adjustment lockdown scrrew. I just adjusted mine using a laser bore sight at a 25 foot distance (per the boresights directions) so Im gonna leave it sit for a while and check it again tomorrow sometime.
