Nice 1911! I have a High Standard 1911 GI that I bought several years ago. It was actually made by Armscor and those in the know claim it is the same gun as the Rock Island, only different roll marks. I have to tell you that pistol has been utterly reliable over the years and has become one of the regulars on my range trips.

I'd like to get a 1991 in 10mm but I have a S&W 1066 already so it's not the highest priority at the moment.

I have a lot to learn about 1911's, My only experience was with Army issue in the 80's and those things rattled like spray paint cans, & I swear I hit targets to the left & right of the one I was aiming at.

I'll hopefully have a little shooting time today.
