Tighten until they strip, then back off a 1/4 turn.

OK. Is that before, or after the plastic cracks?

I did a quick search and couldn't find just the matching rear for the Sig front sight. Would any standard rear be the correct height to match?

We shall see. I would imagine so. Maybe that's why they are priced so good. LOL
I already have an A.R.M.S 40L BUIS for the rear that I'll use for now and put it to the test.

Only do the "plastic crack" method with light switch and wall outlet covers?

Snug them up, go shoot. If they fall out or come loose, tighten them more.
Add some blue loc-tite to the hardware if you're worried.

The earth could be hit by a comet causing total devastation to the point where all signs of civilization are gone - buried beneath mountains of debris and ash that settles in the aftermath, and a passing life form could pick any random spot on the planet, start digging, and they would unearth an Anderson stripped lower.
