Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
Picked up the one in the middle yesterday at the Oaks show. I was reluctant to try a rock island armory but figured with all the positive reviews I must be missing something. This one is factory coated and caught my eye. I had it disassembled and cleaned 15 minutes after getting home and was to the range 10 minutes after that. I'm very impressed with it so far and glad I picked it up. The funny thing though is that I just bought 800 rounds of 9 mm hollowpoint's before heading down and come home with a carry 45.

Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
Have been wanting to add a 9mm AR to the family - I have a Taurus CT9 9mm carbine rifle, but it's not an AR I've always had great luck with the PSA parts I've used to build AR's so threw the complete rifle on layaway at Buds. Thought the price was good and doesn't use proprietary magazines like Olympic. Anyone own one? Comes with one 32 round mag. so I'll be looking for some nice used Colt ones at shows......

Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
I currently have 3 9mm AR's, 2 of them SBR's, all are Colt pattern which I prefer over Glock pattern. I'm not familiar with PSA 9mm's and I've herd mixed reviews, but mostly all were good reviews. As long as it works it's good in my books, 9mm's can be finicky, but once you figure out the issue it will run 100%, mine all run great.
As for mags, PSA sells and has the best price on the Colt pattern Metalform mags, which are the best for the 9mm, same mags Colt uses with PSA floor plates.

What he said.
Here. Out of stock at the moment, but sign up for notification. They typically go on sale for $19.99 which can not be beat anywhere.
And get yourself one of these. If you don't you're an idiot. You just won't know it until you try loading by hand and then go buy one.

Same mags as Uzi mags if I recall. Yes the Uplula is worthwhile. Also you can use the booty smack method to load those mags. Place the round against the feed lip where you intend it to go while smacking the base of the mag against a flat surface. The round will "jump" right in.
